Facebook is a great way to share photos with your friends and family members. There has been a huge rise in the number of photos shared on Facebook with more than 60 billion photos shared by its members already.
Everyday we see our nears and dears sharing pictures on Facebook as albums and there are times when you want to download and store them on your machine. This is quite cumbersome a task. So, Today I am going to shares three tools to download your and your friends’photo albums.
Below are a few ways using which you can download the whole album to your local machine in a few clicks: -
1. PhotoGrabber:-
PhotoGrabber is an desktop application that makes it easy todownload all Facebook photos of any of your friends. This could be a good app for social media monitoring of your child’s photos, for example.
Just have the app installed, give it access to your data on Facebook (through Facebook authentication) and choose your friend in the list. You can:
· Download all photos where your friend is tagged in;
· Download all albums that contains your friend’s photos;
· Download all albums uploaded by your friend;
· Download comments and tagging information of the photos:
When you select the destination folder, give it some time and all photos will soon be downloaded.
Download PhotGrabber: - Mac / Windows
Note: - If you are unable to download ALL photos where you are tagged in, it’s probably the default privacy settings to blame. A Facebook application with a user’s credentials has different permissions than the same user accessing Facebook from a browser. The people who have uploaded and tagged pictures of you are probably blocking applications from accessing their information.
2. Fluschipranie: Download Your Albums (FireFox): -
Fluschipranie is an experimental plugin for FireFox 4 that requires no restart to be installed.
Once you have it installed, browse to “Your Albums” on Facebook and right-click on your album link and notice “fluschipranie Download” option:
Now, give your photos a “base name” (your downloaded photos will be named “base_name_01″, base_name_02″, etc):
You can check Facebook’s prefix checkbox if you do not want to change Facebook’s default prefix or simply click OK with the input field empty.
Finally point it to the folder where all the articles will be saved and click “Download”.
Here you go! All the album photos are in your target folder:
Note: -There’s an Opera extension to be launched soon.
3. Pick N Zip: -
Pick&Zip is a totally free online tool that will allow you todownload photos from Facebook in a single zip or pdf file. You do not have to download any software on your computer to use Pick n Zip.
To start using this service, you just have to log in with Facebook. Pick n Zip allows you to download tagged photos of you and also, the albums of your friends. When you login with your Facebook login credentials, you get a list of all your friends on the left side as a list. When you click on any of your friend’s name, all the albums of that person are listed. You can download a particular photo or the entire album.
Using this site, you can even download the photos from Groups or Pages. I really liked the very interactive and user friendly interface and design of this website.
